“Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” Dr. Seuss
I’ve finally made it home for the night, and have began my nightly unwinding routine. I lit my candles, made sleepy time tea, got my life journal, sat in my chair, looked out my window, and began to think of tomorrow. My mind began drifting towards, the never-ending to do list, problems, and things beyond my control. I had to remind myself it is good to plan, but equally as important to enjoy a moment! I need to be more present in the moment, reflecting, relaxing, and cherish the quiet times.
Dr. Seuss said it best, “sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” I’m guilty of neglecting the present and focusing on tomorrow too much. Moments can seem like eternity when we are in pain or a memory in joy. I challenge you to take 5 minutes for yourself, hide in your closet if you must, pray, meditate, enjoy a moment. Unplug and spend quality time with the ones you love before it becomes a memory. We are all busy, but remember to take a moment, grab a cup of tea and rest your mind. Tomorrow will take care if itself.
