Seasonal Books and Tea

My favorite season is fall and I love curling up with a warm cup of tea and a seasonal murder mystery. I know it’s cheesy, but it’s really comforting. A couple of years ago, I discovered that some authors write seasonal books and I’ve been reading them ever since.

The weather today is dreary and I’ve been meal prepping, reading Candy Corn Murder by Leslie Meier, drinking tea, and doing laundry. Sundays are my most restful days and I’m taking full advantage of reading and drinking tea.

I got these books from my local library and I am giving them a try. The library is still a great source. Reading for enjoyment is something I neglect until the fall.  I think because I grew up in the Midwest,  you’d get snowed in or its too cold to go out, so I read. I am a dial up Internet  child and we couldn’t tie up the phone line. Reading was the next best thing for me.

Unfortunately, these books will take me a while to read probably the end of October than I’ll switch them for Thanksgiving  and Christmas mystery books.

I recommend as the season changes, to read about candy corn rather than eat them. Also,  if you live near Kroger this tea is awesome and sweet on its own, no sweetners necessary. Go ahead and indulge in a nice cup of tea and a good book.
