Hey, if you’re reading this, it’s more than likely your struggles didn’t stayed buried in 2018. I mean can’t a girl catch a break. The daily demands of life just won’t let you be. Be encouraged and know, you have a tool to help you get through those nuances. A fairly easy and inexpensive way is through music. Yes, music, a song can invoke emotions of melancholy, the desire to win an old love back, or power you through a workout.
Music is so much more than entertainment its therapy. There are actually people out there who help people through music, and they are called music therapists. According to the American music Therapy Association “Music Therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program.” (American Music Therapy Association definition, 2005). You may not need a music therapist, but you can definitely benefit from music. So, the next time you want to dance with somebody or need rescuing grab your computer or laptop, and customize your playlist to lift you through your struggles.
